Gate of Flourishing Posterity in the Forbidden City
The Gate of Flourishing Posterity was a forbidden gate. When the emperor asked his officials to come to the Palace, the servants of the officials had to stop 20 steps away from the Gate. However, when peasant insurgents of the Heavenly Order Religion broke into the Palace from the Gate of Western Flower on 15 September 1813, it was at this Gate that the insurgents fought with imperial guards and finally lost the clash, whose trace, an arrowhead, could still be found today on the plaque of the Gate.
