Chamber of Immersing in Virtue in the Forbidden City
Located behind the Hall of Military Glory, the Chamber of Immersing in Virtue in the Forbidden City is marked with Turkish style. Under a towering dome, its interior walls are covered with white glazed tiles. It is said that Concubine Fragrance, the Uigur concubine of Emperor Qianlong, once lived here. According to textual research, it was originally a bathroom in the Construction Department outside the Gate of Worshipping the Heaven, the front gate of the Yuan imperial palace. The building with Turkish style was kept when the Forbidden City was built in the Yongle period of the Ming dynasty.
